Are you a skilled carpenter looking for a new opportunity in Kelowna, British Columbia? We’re hiring two experienced carpenters to join our team for various construction projects in the area. If you have the expertise and passion for carpentry, this could be the perfect role for you!
Location: Kelowna, BC
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $32.00 per hour (40 hours/week)
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and plans: Assess work requirements from detailed drawings and sketches.
- Measure and cut materials: Use precision measuring tools to prepare layouts according to building codes.
- Assemble materials: Cut, shape, and join wood, plywood, steel, and other materials to construct elements like beams, supports, and frames.
- Foundation and structure installation: Erect foundations, install floor beams, lay flooring supports, and assemble prebuilt framing and roofing structures.
- Install fixtures: Fit windows, doors, stairs, and hardware as specified in the plans.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional carpentry experience.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, kneeling, and lifting heavy materials.
