Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Oversight: Ensure that all regulations related to human activities in both land and maritime territories are adhered to.
- Safety and Security: Act as a civil officer and judicial representative to safeguard individuals and property on the district.
- Coordination: Manage the station’s daily operations and ensure effective communication with external stakeholders, including the headquarters and visiting vessels.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate your team, ensuring cohesion, respect, and a positive working environment.
- Environmental Stewardship: Actively contribute to the management and conservation of the reserve, aligning with plans that protect the French Southern and Antarctic Lands and contribute to its UNESCO World Heritage listing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with central services and directly report to the Prefect and Secretary-General.
Specifics of the Role:
- Duration: 13 months (without the option for family relocation or return, except in case of a medical emergency).
- Location: Work in the remote districts of Crozet, Kerguelen, Amsterdam, and Terre Adélie.

Salary and Benefits:
- Compensation: A competitive salary ranging between €4,000 to €5,000 net per month (including taxes).
- Leave: On returning from the mission, civil servants will receive 3 months of administrative leave, while contract employees are entitled to 5 weeks of vacation for every 12 months of service.
